Apple Cosies

Mollie Makes wasn’t kidding when they said crocheting was addictive. After getting the hand of making the flowers. (No pics yet because they disappeared right off my table when I attached them to elastic hairbands and have already gotten lost, so I need to go look for them) And then I crocheted a bag (a cute one for my big girl… I’ll take pics tomorrow in the morning light), and after being tormented by other readers’ pics of their apple cosies, I had to get a copy of the first issue just to get the pattern. There are many identical cosies patterns out there, even for banana! But i already have a banana guard (the authentic one and not the $2 one from daiso) so I didn’t see the need to make one ;)

But as we are all the way out here in SG, there is no way to hunt down that copy of issue #1 so I got a digital copy on zinio on the ipad. And here are my apple cosies! I know… it’s hot in SG, the apples are probably sweating. But it helps to keep them bruise free :)

Hi, can I know where you get the Banana Guard from? The website that you linked to does not do shipping, and I have not seen this anywhere in Singapore. This is such a cute product! I like the guards for other fruits too:)

      Hi Min,
I bought it from Canada, but I have seen cheaper alternatives at Daiso. Not the same quality though. But I don’t use it very often because I find that the bananas don’t fit in it very well, tends to get bruised at a certain angle because the curvature of the guard doesn’t always match the fruit itself.

LOL! Looks like we got to look for banana cosie instead! I am also thinking of trying out Mollie Makes digital version, the latest issue with the doggies:)

You’re in luck if you are looking for the apple cosy pattern. I had to buy the digital copy because there were no more to be found. Now they are giving it away for free!

OMG!! Thanks a million! I had wanted to buy the digital version, but thank goodness I checked on your blog again!

Was also wondering if I should get digital or printed versions for the current issue, as well as back issues. But seem that many back issues were sold out. Well, guess have to do digital way then. While digital does save physical shelves space, I prefer printed where one can flip the pages, write down side notes etc.
