More back to school sewing – lesson bag

Fabric by Push Pin for Kokka fabric. It’s Thumbelina!

Side view. Added gathered pockets to hold their water bottles.

Super cute name labels I bought from Japan.

Lining fabric from Spotlight. Not my best choice but I had to destash hehe….

1m of fabric was enough to make 2!

Hi Pearl, I actually came up with it myself, because I needed it to fit my kid’s A4 size files, but I didn’t want it to be too big, so I just measured the files and added some allowances. For the side pockets they are just cut out wider and I added an elastic band to the top so that their waterbottles can stay in place and yet away from the books. I am hoping to release some free tutorials soon if I have the time to draft them out properly, but as it is I have no time!

So adorable! I am trying to get ideas for a Library bag for my niece. I really love the side pockets on your bag.
